Frequently Asked Questions

Tutoring sessions usually range from 1.5 to 2 hours for high school and college students and 1 to 1.5 hours for students in grades K-8. The sessions take place one or more times per week, depending upon need. Sessions may be longer if the client wishes. The length and frequency of tutoring sessions will be established between the client and the assigned tutor. The tutor and client will agree on a schedule that accommodates the client’s needs.

Clients will be billed monthly. Payments are due no later than 28 days after the date of issue. In order to avoid monthly surcharges or collections, we keep credit card information on file and charge automatically if account balances are more than 30 days due. All tutoring/consulting invoices can be paid through a link in the invoice emailed to the client.

Alternatively, clients may send payment to:

JBG Educational Group

All tutors/consultants will confirm appointments by phone/email with their clients. If a client cancels within 24 hours of an appointment, they will be billed a $75 cancellation fee. If a client cancels within 2 hours of an appointment or does not show up to an appointment, the client will be billed at the full rate. To avoid this fee, clients should provide their tutors/consultants with 24 hours’ notice of any cancellation. This will grant the tutors/consultants adequate time to rearrange their schedules. If three back-to-back scheduled sessions are canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the third and any subsequent cancellations will be charged for the entire scheduled session at full cost.

The last five minutes of each tutoring session should be set aside for client/tutor communication. During this time, the tutor will debrief the client on what was accomplished during the tutoring session and express any concerns they have about the student’s progress.

Clients may contact Sarah Waters at the office with any questions.
