Middlesex Community College

“Middlesex Community College summer camps provide children with an exciting range of unique opportunities to explore careers, develop new skills and boost their self-confidence. The camps provide students with a safe and fun place to learn. They are held at MCC’s Bedford and Lowell campuses and utilize the 200 acres of open space in Bedford as well as the rich cultural and ethnic resources in Lowell.

North Shore Community College

“North Shore Community College offers programs for kids of every age. Classes are held at the Danvers, Lynn and Beverly campuses.

Kids to College (for kids 5 to 14)
The Kids to College summer program classes are in held in Danvers. Three-week sessions (Tuesdays and Thursdays) run in July.

Summer of Discovery (for students ages 7 to 14)
Summer of Discovery is designed to give participants an exhilarating summer experience that challenges both the mind and body. One-week sessions(Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)at the Cummings Center in Beverly.

North Shore Academy (for young adults ages 13 – 17)
Through North Shore Academy, middle and high school students are encouraged to boost their skills without rigid curriculum requirements. Three- or four-day workshops (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) begin in July and run throughout the summer at the Cummings Center in Beverly and Danvers campus.”

Westwood Summer Enrichment Program

“Students entering Kindergarten and grade one will be part of a self-contained program at Thurston Middle School. Each day, they will take part in academic classes including math, social studies, science, reading and writing. The creative classes will include arts and crafts, and music. The movement class will include a variety of games and activities. Snack time is held between classes.

Students entering grade two through grade eight will be part of a three-class rotation at Thurston Middle School. Each class will be an hour in length with snack breaks between classes. Students may choose from the academic, movement and creative classes.”

Zoo Camp

“Zoo New England and Camp Fire USA have been offering a day camp at the Franklin Park Zoo for 15 years. Participants experience a unique environmental education camp that allows them to explore the natural world of animals and their habitats. Zoo Camp is an educational and fun-filled journey that includes arts and crafts, nature games and activities, and the study of Zoo animals – including ‘behind the scenes’ tours with zookeepers!
