School of the Month: UCLA

The University of California in Los Angeles is located on 419 acres at the bottom of the Santa Monicamountains. It is a public research university with about 28,000 undergraduate students. With almost 3,000 international students, as well as students from all 50 states, UCLA is clearly not just for California natives!

Sports are a huge part of student culture. UCLA has more NCAA titles than any other university. Additionally, with over 125 undergraduate degree programs, the school attracts students with a wide range of academic interests. The top five most popular undergraduate majors are political science, psychology, biology, business economics and history. UCLA excels academically and has a strong focus on research. Each year, it receives a huge volume of applications, the most of any public university in the country. In 2013 the acceptance rate was 20.1%.
