Bowdoin College

Bowdoin College is a four year private college with 1,700 undergraduate students located in Brunswick, Maine. Bowdoin is a part of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (Division III), and sports are a big part of student life, as 50% of students are involved in either club or varsity athletics. Although there are no fraternities or sororities at Bowdoin, there are 125 registered student organizations. There are 33 majors to choose from. Regardless of a student’s major, the school requires everyone to complete requirements from a range of disciplines. Many students are involved in the school’s weekly newspaper, The Bowdoin Orient, which is distributed to the student body.
